Under-Saddle Classes
(Fee is $40 per entry.)
To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring. To be judged 60%
movement, 30% conformation, 10% general Impression including impulsion, balance
and rideability. Horses must be at least 36 months of age. Horses in under saddle
classes are not required to have shown in individual in-hand classes. See Art. DR204.

Materiale Classes
(Fee is $40 per entry.)
Horses will be evaluated according to the criteria listed on the USDF Materiale Class
score sheet. Horses will be evaluated under saddle at the walk, trot and canter in both
directions of the arena. No more than six horses will be asked to canter at a time. Four
and five year old horses may be asked to lengthen the stride at the trot and canter.
Horses must be at least 36 months of age to participate in Materiale classes. Show
management reserves the right to not divide Materiale classes to allow one rider to ride
more than one Horse.

• Packet Accuracy Policy: Entry must include full payment, all signatures, stabling
information, current Coggins, copies of current memberships.
• Show packet will not be released to you and you will not be allowed to compete unless
all documentation is complete.
• Entries will not be accepted unless accompanied by full payment of all fees and the
entry form properly executed and signed.
• Show management reserves the right to combine, divide or cancel classes, substitute
judges, or make any other changes as deemed appropriate at the time. Additional
policies may apply at the discretion of management. Entries will be accepted on a
“First Come, First Served” basis.
• Refund Policy: Refund in full prior to closing date less office fee. Cancellations must
be in writing or email. No refunds /credits for any reason after closing date. No refunds /

Qualifying Classes: Great American/USDF Qualifying classes are combined with
your division class. No separate ribbons or prizes will be awarded for Great
American/USDF Qualifying entries. Add a “Q” to the class number to indicate Qualifying
and add a $10.00 qualifying fee. Copies of USEF membership and USDF participating
cards for both rider and owner, and copies of USEF Lifetime or Annual Horse Recording
and the USDF full Lifetime Horse Registration must be included with entry.

Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in
all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary
Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level,
Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides provided
the respective breed/discipline dues or breed/discipline category fee has been
paid. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee,
agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions,
Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving
Competitions upon payment of a $20 nonmember registration fee and a $5
breed/discipline category fee for each breed/discipline. Participants in the
following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) lead line;
2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and
academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used
regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux
and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. Also exempted
from this requirement are citizens of other nations who have proof, in English,
of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation; 8)
USEA beginner novice division; and 9) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport
Horse Breeding classes.
(See GR807.4 of the Federation rules).

General Information
USDF NUMBERS:
Please note that as of Oct. 1, 2002, USDF will require all horses competing in
USDF recognized competitions to have a Horse Identification Number (HID) for
the purpose of tracking scores. The cost of this number is $20 and is a one-time
fee. If your horse is Lifetime Registered with USDF, that number is you’re HID.
Competitors are urged to acquire this number prior to competition if possible. A
form is available on the USDF website. HIDs may also be acquired at the
competition if you are unable to secure your number beforehand. Not required
for introductory classes only.
USEF NUMBERS:
USEF requires all competing horses to have an identification (ID) number. An
agreement has been reached between USDF and USEF to share HID numbers;
however, you must first acquire the number from USDF at a cost of $20 before
the number can be shared by USEF. Horses not fully registered with USDF or
USEF will not be eligible to participate in the GAIG/USDF Regional
Championships. Not required for introductory classes only.
SHOW OFFICE:
The show secretary’s office will be in the small building just in front of the
covered arena, and will be open to competitors on Friday from 12 to 6 p.m. and
on Saturday and Sunday at least one hour before the first class.
CONCESSIONS: Concession stand will be open Saturday & Sunday during show.
USDF RIDER/OWNER IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS: In addition to the HID, riders
and owners will also be required to have (human) tracking numbers. If you are a
group or participating member, the number assigned to you by USDF should be
used on your entry. If you are not a member of USDF, then you must acquire a
non-member identification number (NID). The secretary at the competition will
supply the appropriate form and you will need to fill it out when you check in.
There is no charge for NIDs. Not required for introductory classes only.

STABLING: Permanent Stalls & temporarily stalls are available. Stall charts will
be posted at the end of each barn. If you wish to be stabled with a group,
please select ONE NAME for everyone in the group to use.
NUMBER OF CLASSES PER DAY: Riders may enter a horse in no more than
three dressage classes per day up through Fourth Level, and no more than two
classes per day at FEI level. Dressage Equitation classes do not count towards
this maximum number of classes.
TESTS:
This show will use the 2007 USEF and the current FEI tests and the 2007 USDF
Introductory and Freestyle tests. USEF test sheets may be downloaded on the
USEF website: www.equestrian.org. All of the USDF tests are available for
download bers: www.usdf.org or call USDF at (859)971-2277.
CAMPER/RV HOOK-UPS:
Camper and RV hook-ups are available (electricity & water) at $25 per night
(includes electricity, water, and showers).

FREESTYLE REQUIREMENTS:
In order to enter a freestyle class at any USEF level, a horse/rider combination
must have achieved a score of 58% or above in the highest test of the declared
freestyle level or any test of a higher level at a USEF recognized show. A copy
of the verifying test must be submitted with the entry for a freestyle class.
Freestyle tapes must be given to the show office at least two hours before the
scheduled ride time.
WALK-TROT CLASSES:
Riders performing only USDF Introductory tests are exempt from the USEF non-
member fee. (USEF Rule Book Article III, Section 3(5). Also USDF ID numbers
are NOT required for competitors or horses riding in Introductory classes only.
INTRO-TRAINING DIVISION:
A Intro-Training Division has been established offering Training Level Test 1
and 2 open only to those horses competing in Introductory classes and not
competing above Training 1 and 2. To be eligible for Intro-Training High Point
Award horse must enter one Intro class (Intro A or B) and one Introductory
Training class (1U or 2U) each day.
DRESSAGE EQUITATION CLASSES:

RIDERS WITH DISABILITIES:
Disabled riders must have USEF Presidential Modification Dispensation letters
in order to compete with special equipment or under special circumstances.
These letters must accompany their entry forms. ARENAS: Standard 20X60
meter arenas (covered and outdoor) will both be used for competition. A short
arena (20X40 may be used for the Introductory tests. The footing in the
competition and warm-up arenas is a sand clay mix. No one on foot is allowed
in the warm-up area - coaching must be done from the side.
ATTENTION COMPETITORS:
Each competitor is responsible for supplying management with correct
association numbers (USDF and USEF) for horse, owner, rider, coach and trainer
before the competition. Scores of competitors who fail to supply correct
numbers may not be counted toward national awards.
SHARP’S CONTAINER:
A container to hold used syringes will be available at each barn. Please do not
use garbage cans for this material.
REFUNDS:
No refunds after closing date. Prior to closing date, a Doctor’s or Veterinarian’s
Certificate is required. No refunds in the event of cancellation of classes due to
severe weather or other emergency. Last minute cancellations and no-shows
will be charged a $12.00 cancellation fee.
BRIDLE
NUMBERS:
Show management requires that every horse on the grounds wear a bridle
number while the horse is out of his stall, in accordance with USEF rules.
DEFINITIONS AND ELIGIBILITY:
Novice: Open to horses which have not won three first place Ribbons at the
entered level or above, at a dressage competition recognized by USEF. Adult
Amateur entries must be registered as such with USEF and must enclose a
copy of their current USEF membership card. Individuals are eligible to enter
as Juniors until the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 18.
Individuals are eligible to enter as Young Riders from the beginning of the
calendar year in which they reach the age of 16 until the end of the calendar
year in which they reach age 21. Competitors shall compete as Adults from the
beginning of the calendar year in which they reach age 22. (USEF Dressage DR.
1919.3.) Riders who are 16 and 17 years old may compete as either Juniors or
Young Riders. Horses under 36 months of age may not be ridden in any
dressage under-saddle class.
FOREIGN COMPETITORS:
Non-U.S. citizens (as defined by GR1401.9) and Foreign Competitors (as defined
by GR807.4) must provide proof, in English, of current membership in good
standing in their respective National Federation, or hold current membership in
good standing with USEF.
EVERY CLASS offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications
of the current USEF rule book will be conducted and judged in accordance
therewith. GR 1402.1.
USEF GR301.5 states:
Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a
motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to
operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts,
motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of
licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate
the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an
adult with a valid driver's license. Violations of this rule will be cause for
sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are
responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include
exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the
competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being
filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Rule 7.
Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with
disabilities are exempt from this rule. BOD 1/16/05 Effective 12/1/05.
AWARDS:
Six ribbons will be awarded in each class. First place winners will receive a
Trophy. High Point ribbons and trophies will also be given to the high-point
winners in Intro through Fourth level and FEI.
The USDF/Dover Adult Amateur Medal will be offered for the 2nd Level Test 3
High Point. The USDF/Dover AA Medal is offered for the highest scoring Adult
Amateur who is also a USDF member who obtains at least a 58% for more
information check the USDF website usdf.org .Note: Several additional Awards
are being offered TO ensure we know which ones you are eligible for, please
submit the enclosed Awards Form with your entry. Also, be sure and check the
Secretary’s Office when you pick up your packet to see what Awards may have
been added after the Prize List went to print.
THE COMPETITION committee reserves the right to limit entries, to add or
divide classes, to add or substitute judges or make whatever changes are
required by circumstances to the competition specifications herein. Entries will
be accepted on a first-come basis before the closing date.
POST ENTRIES for horses already entered in the show may be accepted if
space is available upon payment of regular class fees plus an additional post-
entry fee of $10 per class.
LATE ENTRY FEE:
Entries must be postmarked before June 20th. Entries received postmarked
after the closing date will be charged a $10 late fee.
RETURNED CHECKS:
A $35 fee will be levied against any competitor whose check is returned.

A copy of a negative Coggins dated within 12 months must accompany entry
